Obat diare utk kucing

obat diare utk kucing

Utk kucing Diare, bisa sbb, ( ingat dosisnya tergantung berat badan kucing)

  • Diatab, bila ringan dan awal2 biasanya manjur,
  • Neo kaominal , hrgnya 15 ribuan,

jgn memberi obat malah bikin keracunan.

yg paling sering sy berikan adlh neokaominal, bentuk ny sirup, utk memberikan cukup mudah, menggunakan semacam suntikan pipet langsung lewat mulut. biasany pemberian 2kali langsung sembuh.
Hanya dicatat penyebab diare harus dihilangkan, misalnya anda berikan makananan baru, dan diare, jgn anda berikan obat diare tp ttp dgn makanan yg sama, dijamin tdk akan sembuh.
Bila diare berkelanjutan segera bawa ke dokter, jgn biarkan kehilangan banyak cairan, dlm keadaan tertentu minta utk diopname dan diberikan cairan infus utk supply cairan pengganti ketubuh.

Ket utk neokaominal , bisa dibeli apotik, obat generik, harganya terjangkau namun cukup ampuh.

Sebenarnya ada obat lagi yg pernah sy dpt dr dokter, sayangny resepny hilang, bentuknya tablet, putih, setengah tablet hargany sekitar 18 rb dulu, tp biaya dokternya yg muahal hampir 600rb termasuk utk tetes kuping ilium, cuman gak apa2 krn kucing saya senang dan sembuh, soalny dokternya cuantik, mungkin dlm hati kuciong saya tumben dibawa ke dokter hewan yg menarik.

Yang ke empat, krn rasa ingin tahu tinggi, kucing kadang menelan sesuatu yg ditemuinya, efek keracunan, selain diare juga mutah, segera bawa ke dokter, bila dlm situasi mendesak, berikan air kelapa muda atau susu beruang putih utk menetralisir, tp tetap hrs kedokter.

Bila kucing terkena diare, segera bersihkan bulu2 yg terkena dgn tisu yg diberi air hangat sedikit, jangan tunggu lama, krn semakin lami semakin susah utk dibersihkan, jangan sekali2 ketika sakit kucing dimandikan, kucing semakin stress, kedinginan, mengurang daya tahan, dan malah memperburuk penyakit.
terakhir, amati scr teratur perubahan perilaku dan kesehatan kucing anda, pilih makan utk kucing ada secara tepat, gunakan product dgn referensiny yg bagus dan tepat, pikirkan ongkos kesehatan utk totalnya, ada makanan special utk pencernaan yg sedang terganggu, sementara anda bisa berikan utk memperbaiki kesehatan pencernaaan,

lalu pilih dokter dgn bijak, komunikasikan apa yg dibutuhkan kucing anda, ketika diberikan obat tanyakan jelas nama obatnya dan kadaluwarsanya, minta juga dokter anda menjelaskan antisipasi utk kedepannya.

Adopting A Cat?

Adopting A Cat?
Sharing your life with an animal can be a wonderful, rewarding experience, but having a pet is not for everyone.

Before bringing a cat home, consider whether or not you’re ready for the commitment of caring for an animal.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Are you willing to commit to caring for a cat for the entirety of her lifetime,
which could be as long as 14 years?
  • If you move, marry or have a child, will you keep your cat?
  • Do you have time to spend with a cat?
  • Are you financially prepared to care for a cat? Be more should your cat require emergency veterinary care, or treatment for chronic issues.

Remember that all cats require a commitment of time, money and energy.

If you’re unable to take on the responsibilities of caring for and supporting a cat, you should probably reconsider adopting.

If you do decide you are ready to bring an animal into your life and family, it is important that you choose your companion carefully. Please consider adopting a homeless cat or kitten from your local humane society or animal shelter. With millions of healthy, adoptable animals euthanized in shelters each year, purchasing an animal from a breeder or store is unnecessary.
Contrary to what some may believe, shelter cats are likely to be just as healthy, and are often healthier, than are pure bred or store bought cats.

Also, by adopting a shelter cat, you will be helping to cut down animal overpopulation, and you will be giving a second chance to a cat in need.

Importance of Cat’s play

Importance of play
Cats need some excitement in their lives to ensure their physical and
mental well-being—especially indoor pets that are left alone at home all
day. With a little thought and commitment, you can give your cat a fun
home life. Playing games together is a positive way of interacting with
your cat, but you should also encourage him to play alone

Play is an important outlet for your cat’s excess energy. Any cat that is deprived of
opportunities to hunt and stalk is likely to become bored and stressed, and this
may lead to behavioral problems.

The mental and physical stimulation derived from play is just as important to adult cats as it is for kittens.
Most cats, especially if neutered, will retain their sense of playfulness as they get older.
Lack of stimulation can be a real problem with indoor cats, which after a dull day with
no company will constantly pester their owners for attention when they get home.
Outdoor cats have a riskier but more stimulating and active lifestyle.
With plenty of space to run and jump around and exposure to new
experiences, they can give free rein to their natural instincts for exploring, chasing, and
hunting. Even indoors, a cat needs to let off steam regularly. Often, this takes the form
of a “crazy moment,” when the cat rushes around the room, leaping on to furniture
and climbing the curtains before bolting off. This is perfectly natural behavior, but
uncontrolled sessions like this run the risk of damaging your home and causing injury to your cat. To prevent panic bursts of activity,
channel your cat’s predatory instincts with interactive toys and constructive play.

Learning natural skills
Dangling or dragging a piece of ribbon along will appeal to your kitten’s natural urge to hunt and stalk. This form of play also helps your kitten to learn essential skills for survival that it would normally need in the wild, such as catching and biting prey.

Outdoor games
Even the most pampered cat retains its desire to hunt and the need for mental stimulation.
A cat that is allowed outdoors has plenty of opportunity to follow its instincts.

Hiding and exploring
Paper bags and cardboard boxes appeal to a cat’s sense of curiosity, giving him something to investigate, or hide in if he is feeling insecure. Monitor your cat to make sure he can get out whenever he wants to.

A VARIETY OF TOYS
Cats like toys that appeal to their chasing, stalking, and pouncing instincts (see panel,
opposite), so satisfy your cat’s need to hunt by providing him with a convincing substitute.
Interactive toys, such as play wands with a dangling feather or catnip mouse, give your
cat something to grab or bat with his paws,
or to chase after when trailed along the ground. A play wand also keeps your hands
at a safe distance from claws and teeth when your cat attacks his “prey.”
You should not be the sole source of fun for your cat, so be sure to offer him toys
that he can play with on his own. Toys that move, have an interesting texture, or are
scented with catnip are most likely to catch

How Do I Know if My Cat Is Sick?

How Do I Know if My Cat Is Sick?

Cats are very protective and defensive by nature, so they hide their
illnesses well. Often cats do not let us know that they are sick until a
condition is quite advanced.

Observant owners can learn to identify subtle changes in their cat’s routine and behavior that may be indicative of illness.
.

Major Signs :

1. Lack of appetite for food/ may not eat,
Reasons why a sick cat may not eat include:
• The cat is congested and cannot smell the food.
• The cat has a fever, causing a loss of appetite.
• Bad teeth or other dental disease is affecting the cat’s ability to eat
• Liver or other gastrointestinal disease is causing nausea.
• The cat is dehydrated and too weak to eat.

2. Lack of drinking water
3. Stopping grooming itself
4. Hidden in somewhere place
5. Throw up/muntah
Anorexia is a term used to describe a lack of appetite for food.
Veterinarians use this term when owners tell them that the cat is not eating or eating very little.
Being finicky and not eating are two different things. Some cats
hold out for their favorite foods and this makes them finicky, but
anorexic cats do not care what you put in front of them.
If a cat does not eat for 24 hours, you should be concerned. If the
lack of appetite lasts more than 48 hours, you should have the cat examined
by a veterinarian.
Cats, especially overweight animals, can develop a condition called
hepatic lipidosis if they do not eat. Cats with hepatic lipidosis break
down their body fat for energy, but the fat overwhelms the liver, injures
the normal liver cells and makes the cat sicker. Early intervention with
anorexic cats is needed to stop hepatic lipidosis from occurring. Left
untreated, hepatic lipidosis can be fatal.

When Your Cat Won’t Eat
If your cat is not eating, you need to determine if there is a problem
with his diet or if the cat is sick. Some reasons why a healthy cat may
not eat include:

• The food is spoiled.
• Ants or other insects are in the food.
• You bought the wrong flavor.
• There is competition at the food bowl.
• People food or treats have affected his appetite.
• The food bowl is in a bad location.
• The cat has been hunting and eating prey or snacking at a
neighbor’s house.

If none of these reasons is valid, it is likely the cat is sick.
How to Make Your Cat Eat
Sick cats do not eat well, so it is important to encourage them. Offer
yummy foods, such as canned cat food, tuna fish, deli meat or meat baby
food. Lightly warming the food for a few seconds in a microwave oven
can help build a cat’s appetite by increasing the food’s aroma. Handfeeding,
talking gently and petting the cat can stimulate eating, too.You
can hand-feed your cat by offering him some soft food on a spoon or
on your finger and encouraging him to lick it off. If a cat seems uninterested
in eating, do not leave food sitting out for more than an hour.
Pick it up and reintroduce it a few hours later.
When none of these suggestions proves successful, a trip to the veterinarian
is warranted.Veterinarians may use prescription appetite stimulants
or may even force-feed an anorexic cat. Force-feeding is typically
done using a syringe without a needle and squirting some type of strained
diet into a cat’s mouth. For cats who are difficult or too sick to orally
force-feed, feeding tubes can be placed into the esophagus or stomach.

What About Water?
Water intake is extremely important. If a cat (or any animal) cannot
keep water down, he should be taken to a veterinarian immediately.
This can be a sign of an intestinal obstruction.
A cat who does not eat or drink can become seriously dehydrated
within a day.Vomiting and diarrhea can contribute to water loss leading
to dehydration. If your cat is not drinking, you can give him some
water with a syringe (minus the needle) or an eyedropper, but it is
almost impossible to get enough water into a cat this way.

Veterinarians can rehydrate cats by injecting a sterile, balanced electrolyte
solution under the animal’s skin. This practice is called subcutaneous
administration. Fluids can also be directly injected into the body
through a vein using an intravenous catheter, commonly known as an
IV. Intravenous treatment requires hospitalization but is necessary for
more seriously dehydrated patients.

What Is a Healthy Cat?

What Is a Healthy Cat?

More than hundred million pet cats live in the houses in the world.

What is it about these creatures that has made them world’s most
popular pet in the last decade?
Is it their grace and beauty? Or is it their
ability to be somewhat independent and fit into our busy lifestyles?

Regardless of the reasons, it is definitely cool to be a cat owner.
You have also decided to become a cat owner—or at least, you’d
like to think it was your decision.

In reality, it is often the cat who chooses you.
Each cat has a unique personality and different behavior
patterns, so I hope you will find the perfect fit for your household.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A HEALTHY CAT

Bright eyes, a shiny coat and an alert disposition are all characteristics
of a healthy cat. Healthy cats have good appetites, groom themselves
well and interact with their owners. There is no one best place to find
a healthy cat, so in your search consider local shelters, breeders, neighbors,
friends, coworkers and veterinary clinics and hospitals.

The most important factor in choosing a healthy cat is a good personality.
You can tell a lot about personality even with kittens.

Cat Owner’s Home Veterinary Handbook, Fully Revised and Updated

To test a cat’s personality, hold her in your arms and see if she is relaxed or tense.

Cradle her upside down in your arms, like a baby, and again, see how
she reacts. If you are looking for an affectionate cat, and the one you are
testing will not let you hold her for more than a second, you may want to reconsider your choice or plan to do some work on gaining the cat’s trust and training her to relax.
Two to seven weeks of age is the period considered to be critical to
a kitten’s socialization. Kittens who are handled by many people and
interact with other cats and animals during this time tend to adjust better
socially as adults. Ask about a cat’s early experiences when you are
considering her for adoption.

The next test is to touch the animal’s ears, gently open her mouth
and touch her toes. Again, the more the cat is willing to let you handle
her, the more likely she is to be trusting of you in general.
If you put the cat down and walk away, is she interested in you?
Does she follow you? I do think there is chemistry between certain cats and certain
people. Is the cat alert, responsive and playful?

Test this by throwing a small toy, or even make one from a ball of paper.

All these little tests will give you some idea of what the cat’s personality is like.

Even with a very healthy kitten, the health care costs for a kitten for
the first year are generally higher than they are for an adult cat.
Kittens have less well-developed immune systems than adult cats, so they are
more susceptible to infections. They also require more routine health
care during their first year of life than older cats do. This includes initial
vaccines, viral and fecal testing and spaying or neutering.
